Using multiple figures in the dollhouse

My colleague and I have been discussing this question for several months now. We have several figures in different multicultural versions along with multiple accessories for our main dollhouse.

Inevitably, the kids use all their time to stick EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF FURNITURE AND FIGURE in the dollhouse and hardly ever have time to use the dollhouse and figures to act out anything. Since this seems to be a pattern, does any one have any thoughts?

Some of the kids have asked me to take a picture of the dollhouse as set up for the next time they come in, but none of them have returned to the dollhouse to date.

Thanks for any insight(s)!

Lori Fedorczyk

Play Therapy Techniques are an integral part of my elementary counseling program and I'm so excited to see several play-related workshops this year. It's often hard to find play related trainings, which is why we organize a two day conference each year for folks who work with children and adolescents. We have a great conference this year focusing on special populations, with a keynote by Daniel Yeager on improving executive function. Check out the conference registration link to register. It's a great opportunity to expand your knowledge of play therapy while earning CU's or Act 48 credit. Hope to see your there!!!
